Corte Martini - A Gem in the Valpolicella Region

Corte Martini winery is nestled in the picturesque Valpolicella region of Italy, where the essence of the land is captured in every bottle of wine. This charming vineyard is a testament to the rich agricultural heritage of the area.

Passionate Winemakers with a Rich History

In the 1970s, the owner’s father fell in love with the land and moved to a historic farm dating back to 1601 in the I Martini district of Torbe di Negrar, known as the Balcony of Classic Valpolicella. This marked the beginning of a passionate commitment to winemaking, surrounded by herringbone marogne and ancient risers. The vineyard, once part of the Villa Salvaterra di Prun estate, is cultivated with care, respecting traditional agricultural practices alongside olive and cherry trees.

Since 1908, wines of exceptional quality have been aged in the historic cellar “I Martini,” featuring vaulted arches made of Prune stone.

The current owner continues this legacy, guided by the wisdom of his father.

Grape Varieties and Winemaking Process

Corte Martini winery cultivates a diverse selection of grape varieties, including Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara, all grown with respect for the surrounding environment. The finest grapes are harvested and taken to the cellar for fermentation and aging. After careful maturation, the wines are bottled for distribution. The winery specializes in red wines, offering labels such as Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG, Recioto della Valpolicella Classico DOCG, Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso, and Valpolicella Classico Superiore.

Our trusted cellar. We discovered it thanks to the events organized by Valpolicella, but we promptly call and organize a day to go and taste and bring home cases of wine. The best review and amarone I have ever tasted. Pietro is always available and friendly, contact him and he will not disappoint you.

I visited a few wineries in the area to try different "brands" of classic, upscale Valpolicella. I liked the one at Corte Martini the best, unfortunately it was late when I returned and the cellar was closed. I'll be back soon to buy a few bottles.
