David Leladze's Family Winery

,The history of my winery dates back to 1890. It was founded by my great-great-grandfather. He managed to cultivate a fairly large vineyard. He produced natural wines and successfully sold them both in Georgia and abroad.

This continued until the arrival of the communists in Georgia. They took away everything my grandfather had acquired through his hard work. However, they could not take away his knowledge and love for the vineyard. He passed this on to my grandfather, who in turn passed this knowledge and passion for the vine on to me.

I do not have an academic education in winemaking; instead, I rely on the knowledge and experience passed down orally from my ancestors. Although I have been working in the vineyard and making wine since childhood, it was only in 2019 that I decided to renovate the winery and start bottling my wine.

In this short period, I have received many awards and recognition. My wines are appreciated both by professional winemakers and by wine lovers, who enjoy them with great pleasure".
