Experience the Timeless Tradition of Winemaking in Imereti, Georgia
Nikoladze Winery is located in the picturesque Imereti region of Georgia, where winemaking has been a cherished tradition for centuries. Our family, inspired by the legacy of our ancestors who cultivated vineyards on these slopes, established this winery to honor that heritage.
In Georgia, wine is traditionally crafted in qvevris—large clay vessels buried underground. This ancient technique, which dates back over 8,000 years, allows the wine to ferment and age naturally while remaining in contact with grape skins, seeds, and stems. The qvevri's unique shape and natural temperature regulation contribute to wines with rich flavors, earthy tones, and a character that reflects the terroir and time-honored winemaking practices.
We have revitalized our vineyard by nurturing native grape varieties such as Tsolikouri, Tsisqa, and Otskhanuri Sapere. Each vine is carefully planted, and every grape is hand-picked during harvest to ensure the highest quality wine.
Our estate features a charming Guesthouse surrounded by lush vineyards, offering comfortable accommodation. Guests can enjoy private wine tastings, guided tours of the winery, and participate in seasonal harvest activities.
We provide exclusive wine tours that allow visitors to appreciate the essence of Georgian winemaking. During the tour, guests can taste a selection of our white and red wines, each with its own story shaped by local grape varieties and the region’s unique climate.
Join us to learn about the rich heritage of Georgian wine and experience a memorable blend of history, flavor, and tradition.
