A Legacy Rooted in Family and Tradition

De Meye Estate is a family-owned winery located in Muldersvlei, along the renowned Stellenbosch Wine Route, one of South Africa’s premier wine regions. The Myburgh family has cultivated this land for five generations, dedicated to producing exceptional wines that reflect our unique terroir and commitment to sustainability. In 1997, we transitioned from selling grapes to crafting our own wines, restoring the estate's historic buildings in the process.

Our goal is to create wines that bring people together, whether enjoyed on the estate or shared with friends. The Myburgh family crest symbolizes our rich history and tradition, which current owner Philip Myburgh continues to honor while embracing modern winemaking techniques. We prioritize sustainable practices to ensure the long-term health of our vineyards and the surrounding environment. Our carefully selected vines thrive in the unique terroir, with red varietals including Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz, alongside white varietals like Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc.

As a family-operated winery, we share a vision of crafting wines that inspire connection and joy. Our winemaking approach results in unique blends and single-vineyard expressions that highlight the beauty of our region. Spanning 100 hectares, our estate houses the winery, cellar, and storage facilities. By managing the entire process in-house, from vineyard to cellar to sales, we ensure the high quality and authenticity that sets De Meye apart. At De Meye, wine is more than just a beverage; it tells a story of our heritage and passion.
