The vineyards, known as "Da Capo," meaning "from the beginning" or "from the Cape" in Italian, were established in 1999. Located at elevations between 200 and 350 meters above sea level, these vineyards benefit from north, west, and south-facing slopes, nestled at the base of stunning granite mountains. The distinctive Idiom Conical Peak makes the 150-hectare property easily recognizable. The soil composition includes shallow decomposed granite with rocky areas and a clay foundation, ideal for growing high-quality grapes.

The most gorgeous place to wine taste and have lunch. Kyle (aka Karl!) did our wine tasting and he was just fab. His knowledge is amazing and he truly made it a memorable experience. Then went to lunch - the food was exceptional. Don't miss out on the caccio e pepe starter, so yummy! Great service, great wine, great food, yes please!!

Had a wonderful dinner with the most amazing sunset at Idiom today. This lovely restaurant on a wine farm has the most stunning view over Somerset West and Valsbay. I had pizza and my wife and. Kids opted for the ostrich burger. Both were amazing but I believe the burger might have won. The cherry crème brule is certainly my favorite. Very nice experience and worth the visit. The most gorgeous setting Incredible food - we had the 3 course set menu- phenomenal flavours and great value for R595! Service was on point, incredibly friendly and efficient. Wine was exceptional- can especially recommend the Viognier and Cape blend.
