The Disznoko winery and estate in Tokaj, Hungary is famous for crafting its own style of Hungarian wines that are still in keeping with the legendary sweet wines of the area. The Disznoko Tokaji Aszus wines that are produced on the estate can be described as contemporary noble wines that have achieved the perfect balance between the fruit, the grape varietal, and the terroir of the area.

Favorable terroir

The terroir at Disznoko is known to be one of the most favorable grape growing sites for Aszu in the whole of Tokaj. The Disznoko vines are planted on a single tract of land and are only planted with noble grape varietals from the Tokaj Wine Region, mainly Furmint. Disznoko winery is unique in that it is one of the only estates in this wine region that is on a single tract of land covering 104 hectares. As a result of this, the winemakers are those who work the land have direct contact with the vines daily and there is a high level of responsiveness in terms of crop protection and harvesting.

Grapes producing Unique Wines

The grapes produced by the vines are all vinified separately which enables the best to be brought out of each grape to produce only the highest quality wines. The quest of the winemakers is to maintain the purity of the grape while crafting wines that are unique and individual in character. Today, the winery produce dry wines, late harvest wines and Aszú wines.

The most popular of the Disznoko wines are the Disznoko Tokaji Aszu 6 Puttonyos, the Disznoko Kapi Vineyard Tokaji Aszu 6 Puttonyos, the Disznoko Tokaji Aszu Eszencia and the Disznoko Tokaji Late Harvest.
