A Family Winery

Kállay Kúria is a family-owned winery nestled in the heart of the historic Tokaj Wine Region. With roots tracing back to our grandparents, we are proud to be a third-generation winery dedicated to crafting exceptional wines. Our small-scale operation is surrounded by the stunning landscapes of Hungary, where each bottle tells a story of tradition and passion.

The Terroirs of Kállay Kúria

Our estate spans 4 hectares, featuring five vineyard plots near Tolcsva. The unique combination of diverse soils and bedrock, along with traditional Tokaj grape varieties like Furmint and Hárslevelű, shapes the distinctive character of our wines. We aim to produce wines that genuinely reflect the terroir and the vintage, showcasing the rich flavors developed over centuries of winemaking.

A Commitment to Quality

Nearly half of our production is enjoyed through wine tourism, complemented by a welcoming guesthouse and an active wine club. Our dedication to traditional methods and sustainable practices is at the core of our business. We are excited to share our knowledge and passion for winemaking with visitors, offering a genuine taste of the Tokaj region.

The interesting exhibition is also open during the winter on weekdays. You can exchange your ticket with a nice lady in the press room. (The coffee is also delicious) It was a pleasure to visit the museum and its park.

The visit to Kallay Manor was simply delightful. The manor, built in baroque style with a history of over 260 years, was owned by the noble Kallay family and served as the residence of former Prime Minister Miklos Kallay. What we visited: * the manor with harmoniously decorated rooms, furniture and art objects * an exhibition of 20th century toys and beautiful objects * an exhibition on the history of the noble family * exhibition on the history of automobiles. In the garage next to the manor we admired a magnificent Ford car, 94 years old, a detailed history of Ford and many models of toy cars * the manor park, probably a beautiful green oasis in the warm season All written information is in Hungarian, the guide aroused interest by introducing us in English. The price was modest for everything we visited: 1500 HUF, just under 4 euros. We definitely recommend visiting this beautiful historical landmark!

I was lucky enough to see it on the first of May this year. Beautiful, well-kept little mansion. The tour including the park takes 1.5 hours, but it is perfect for a half-day program, so if you go there, it is worth a visit. Don't miss the Ford A model, it is a real treasure. :D There is a possibility to park for free in front of the castle entrance, however there are not many parking spaces. The entrance fee with a combined ticket was 1,500 HUF. At the end of the program, you can also drink a delicious coffee or eat a cookie in the cafe. Very tasty ;)
