Discover Domaine Combe Blanche
The history of Domaine Combe Blanche traces back to 1981. It is situated on the slope of the Haut Minervois. The vineyard extends between 200 and 330 meters above sea level. Today, the production area is about 12 hectares. It includes 6 hectares of AOC Minervois, 2 hectares of Minervois La Livinière AOC and 4 ha of Côtes du Brian IGP wine. Guy Vanlancker started Domaine Combe Blanche 30 years ago. He used to be a Belgian teacher and moved to the south of France to pursue his dream of making top red French wines.
The Great Terroir of Domaine Combe Blanche
To be able to produce wines with a high quality they do the harvesting by hand. The terroir is composed of clay-limestone soils, a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and low rainfalls, ideal for balanced and harmonious wines. The red wines are made using the grape varieties Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan, Tempranillo and Pinot Noir. They are matured in vats and barrels for up to 24 months. The white wines are a blend of Viognier and Roussanne.
