Perfect Harmony of Terroir and Grapes

Domaine Des Dieux is situated in the scenic Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge, nestled at the base of the region's highest mountain. This unique location benefits from moderate temperatures and refreshing sea breezes, creating an ideal environment for viticulture in a country known for its sunny climate. The estate features virus-free vineyards, with grape varieties meticulously selected to harmonize with the terroir, showcasing the distinct character of the land and maximizing the potential of its rich soils.

A Dream Realized by Two Wine Enthusiasts

The story of Domaine Des Dieux began in 2002 when two passionate wine lovers purchased a farm with a vision. The winery became the first producer of Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) in the Hemel-en-Aarde region, thanks to a commitment to high-quality fruit and a love for sparkling wine. After four years of nurturing the vines, the first wines were released in 2006, quickly gaining acclaim from wine connoisseurs.

Exceptional Wines Await

Domaine Des Dieux offers a select range of award-winning wines crafted with the same dedication found in the finest French and European vineyards. The winemaking philosophy focuses on allowing each wine to reach its full potential in the cellar. Visitors can appreciate the meticulous care taken in cultivating healthy, flavorful grapes and sample some of the most distinctive wines the region has to offer.

Enjoyed it a lot. Stunning views, friendly service, comfy lounge area, and very interesting & enjoyable wines. They’re all quite light styled, which makes them very refreshing and low in sugar & alcohol so you feel great afterwards, and they’re only released when they’re perfect to drink which is great. I definitely plan to come back and recommend it to my friends.

R130 for 3 MCC priciest but considering the price for the bottles worth a try. Our helper was very friendly and nice explained the ladies we met Sharon, Claudia and Annalise the grandmother.

It would be an understatement to say that I love everything about Domaine Des Dieux! I have visited them numerous times and they have never disappointed. Perched on-top of a hill in the picturesque Hemel-En-Aarde Vallei ("Heaven and Earth Valley"), the quaint tasting room has a perfect view of the valley and with its kind of "remote" location it has a romantic atmosphere making you fall in love with the wine before you have even started tasting. They have different styles of wines available to taste, ranging from MCC's to Whites and Reds, and although it is very difficult to choose a favourite, their MCC's are a must! The wines speak for themselves, but the staff are also very knowledgeable.  After a tasting you can order a glass (or even a bottle) of wine and relax on their couches, enjoying the view and the relaxing atmosphere. The tasting room is small and can't accommodate a lot of people, so if you want to give them a try, I definitely recommend you make a booking (especially over peak season and weekends). When we left we felt sad as you just want to stay there forever, but we did the next best thing and bought a couple of bottles to take home. I would just like to thank Steward, the guy that did our tasting, for making the experience so fun and extra special. We will definitely be back!

Amazing view and delicious wines/ MCCs. We had the snack platters to accompany our tasting and it was a very food combination. We loved the bubbles and the Chardonnay (which is why we bought a bottle directly at the tasting room). The service was nice and patient to answer all our questions.
