Celebrating Sisterhood Through Exceptional South African Wines
Seven Sisters Winery: A Gem of the Western Cape
Seven Sisters Vineyards, a pioneering winery owned by black women, is nestled in the heart of Stellenbosch, South Africa's renowned Wine Lands. Founded in 2005 by Vivian Kleynhans, this winery represents a powerful legacy of resilience and hope. The story of Seven Sisters begins with the Brutus Family, who faced hardship after being evicted from their home in Paternoster, a village celebrated for its fishing heritage.
A Heartwarming Reunion
The Brutus siblings grew up in a challenging environment but reunited two decades later with a shared vision: to create African Roots Wine Brands. Under the leadership of self-taught entrepreneur Vivian Kleynhans, Seven Sisters Winery has become a significant player in the South African wine industry.
Unique Wines from a Rich Heritage
The dream of producing exquisite wines took shape in 2012 when Chardonnay and Shiraz vines were planted on land that once belonged to the Brutus Family. Today, the winery cultivates a diverse range of grapes, including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Moscato, Chardonnay, Shiraz, and Cape Blend. This variety allows for the creation of unique red and white wine blends that reflect the winery's rich heritage.
Seven Sisters Winery stands as a tribute to sisterhood and the art of winemaking that is deeply rooted in South Africa.
