Perched on a gentle hill and exposed to the refreshing mistral winds, Domaine des Pentelines is an organic winery located in the southern AOC Côtes-du-Rhône, just a short drive from the picturesque city of Avignon and the renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine region. The estate features a charming guest house, providing a serene retreat amidst the vineyards and close to various tourist attractions. Spanning 26 hectares, the vineyards are all situated in a single, contiguous stretch of land.

A Rich Winemaking Legacy

The Hardy family nurtured this winery for many generations before passing it on to the Kandler family after 80 years of dedication. The Kandler family revitalized the estate by building a new winery, constructing a modern cellar, and replanting the vineyards. With a strong background in wine production, the Kandler family also owns two other wineries in the Languedoc AOP and Minervois regions. Today, Domaine des Pentelines proudly holds AB certification (Agriculture Biologique), affirming its commitment to organic practices.

Organic Vine Cultivation Practices

The Kandler family has replanted most of the vineyards, while a few vines are over 40 years old. The estate cultivates a diverse range of grape varieties across its 26 hectares, including Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Carignan. Additionally, the winery grows Cinsaut, Marselan, Counoise, Marsanne, Roussanne, UGNI Blanc, and Clairette using organic methods. The harvest is conducted manually, ensuring that only the best grapes are selected for their exceptional wines.
