The History of Château Saint Nabor
The history of Château Saint Nabor traces back to 1970s when Gérard Castor took over the seven hectares of vines. In the 1990s, he was at the head of a 90 hectares farm. Gérard Castor’s two sons also joined the business in 2011. Today, the vineyard covers an area of 150 hectares. They produce no less than 800,000 to 1 million bottles each year.
In the Vineyards of Château Saint Nabor
The grape varieties grown in the vineyard of Château Saint Nabor are very characteristic of Côtes du Rhône. They grow 65% of red grape and 35% of white grape varieties. The red grape varieties include Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, and Tempranillo. The white grape varieties include Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Chardonnay, Viognier and Ugni Blanc. The production is of 50% red wines, 35% rosé wines and 15% white wines. This production is 50% classified in Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée and 50% in IGP
