We were wonderfully welcomed at the domain with a warm 'degustation' of all wines. Our host, Elodie, took the time to talk about her 'terroir', the 'cepages' and the beautiful work on the Tautavel wines. We fell in love with the Rivesaltes Ambre, and the Maury sec 'Arrels'. Tasting this wine just confirmed the hard work and love for the tiny details of the Domaine Fontanel owners. Remarkable job! We will visit again for sure.

We visited Domaine Fontanel and had an outstanding experience. Elodie was amazing explaining each wine we tasted while describing the grapes and different terroirs. Fantastic wines, I especially liked the Maury. I'll definitely come back and visit again!

We spent a 2 night weekend at the lodge with our 2 children, the place is magnificent, quiet with a breathtaking view of the valley and the panorama of the Pyrenees in front of us. The lodge is new, well equipped and very clean. A big thank you to Élodie and Mathieu who showed us their cellar and let us taste their delicious, high quality wines that they create with passion. We will return to them for sure and for a longer period to discover the region that has so much to offer.
