Located in the picturesque region of Volnay, Domaine R & P Bouley is a family-run winery with a rich history spanning five generations. Pascal Bouley, the current winemaker, continues the legacy of his ancestors, while his son, Pierrick, who joined the winery in 2005 after studying viticulture, represents the sixth generation. The estate spans nearly 10 hectares of vineyards, nestled beneath the scenic Chaignot mountain, providing an idyllic setting for viticulture.

Appellations and Wine Varieties

Domaine R & P Bouley produces a diverse range of wines across 14 different appellations. The focus is primarily on Pinot Noir for their red wines, with a small amount of Gamay used for blending. Notable red wine appellations include Volnay, Monthélie, and Volnay Santenots. A highlight is the Les Clos Monthélie 1er Cru, known for its vibrant berry flavors and rich aromas. For white wines, they offer Saint-Romain and Bourgogne Aligoté, with the Saint-Romain Blanc showcasing notes of acacia, honey, and delicate floral hints, sourced from sun-kissed vines behind Meursault.

Commitment to Natural Winemaking

Wines are aged for 18 months in French oak barrels sourced from local cooperages, with a quarter of the barrels renewed each year. The vineyard's altitude ranges from 220 to 300 meters, and the terroir features a unique blend of sandstone, limestone, and silica.
