The Domaine Sainte Octime estate sits on the first clay and limestone foothills. It locates between Quissac and Sommieres in the Gard. Passed from father to son for decades, Lionel Rampon, the 16th generation, took over the estate and started the wine business here. The winery covers an area of 25 hectares including its vineyards and cellars. In 2014, the winery developed a reception room and the accommodation part of the winery.
The Domaine Sainte Octime winery boasts seven Cuvées and 10 gite capacity. At present, they produce their wines using a wine grape variety that includes Chardonnay, Roussanne, Muscat petit grain, and Viognier. Other types of grapes they use are Grenache Blanc, Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet, Mourvèdre, Nielluccio, Cinsault and Grenache Noir.
There is a cottage at the heart of the vineyard at the estate. Scrubland and vineyard surround the cottage. It sits close to the beach and many tourist attractions. If you are looking for unforgettable recreational activities and sightseeing, then this is the place to be. The cottage sits only 15 minutes away from Sommières. It is 20 minutes away from the pristine beaches of La Grande-Motte, Palavas Les Flots, Carnon or Espiguette Grau du Roi.
