Passion and dedication in the heart of the Piedmont hills

Dosio Vigneti: a winery nestled in the World Heritage Site
Dosio Vigneti story has its origins in the heart of the Langhe, where farming culture and experience are deeply rooted. The passion for winemaking and the predisposition of the land to the planting of vineyards did the rest: thanks to this intuition, the old farmhouse dating back to the first half of the 18th century – located on the Serradenari hill, five hundred metres asl, in the historical village of La Morra - was transformed into a winery, giving birth to Dosio Vigneti in 1974.

Situated in an excellent position – favoured by the winds, open to the Maritime Alps and with a view as far as the summit of Monviso – the large structure immediately became the heart of the estate and of wine production thanks to the varieties of autochthonous Piedmontese and international vineyards. In particular, the geographical location gives it the highest point of the whole Barolo appellation - this position ensures a better temperature and ventilation for the vines, which makes them unique.

With 2010, the winery sees an important rebirth: the founders are succeeded by new owners, the Lanci family, who give the company a new look, always respecting tradition and the territory. The new wine-tasting areas blend perfectly with the enchanting location enjoyed by the winery, and important new estates are added to the historic vineyards. Today, the company can count on over 15 hectares of vineyards in the Langhe area (of which 10 around the winery) with vineyards in 3 important Barolo crus - Serradenari, Fossati and Bussia - from which 5 different Barolo wines of great personality and elegance are produced.

The year 2021 marks another crucial moment: focusing on the characteristics of each terroir and offering Piedmontese oenological excellence, Dosio constitutes a Group. A 100% Italian reality, strongly linked to the territory, which today boasts a vineyard area of approximately 85 hectares extending from the Langhe to Monferrato.

The right combination of tradition, technology and respect of nature
The production philosophy has always been based on the essential values of quality and tradition, with an eye on innovation and an unavoidable respect for the land thanks to production and cultivation methods aimed at reducing environmental impact to a minimum. On the entire vineyard area, the company follows the principles of integrated pest management, thus implementing sustainable farming; the same principles are also respected in the cellar, with low-impact oenology that enhances the quality of the raw material at every stage. Values attested, starting from the 2022 harvest, by the SQNPI certification, 'Sistema di Qualità Nazionale Produzione Integrata' (National Quality System for Integrated Production).

Antica Dimora Dosio: for a personalised break experience
From 2023, Dosio Vigneti will make of hospitality another important objective: thanks to the renovation of the old manor house, the new Antica Dimora Dosio resort will be created to offer a truly relaxing experience.
