Prime Location for Exceptional Wines

Durbanville Hills Winery is ideally situated just 20 minutes from Cape Town’s city center, offering breathtaking views of Table Mountain and Table Bay. This unique location provides an extraordinary terroir that stabilizes temperatures, preventing extreme heat and cold. While the Durbanville region is famous for its Sauvignon Blanc, which thrives on the cool south-facing slopes, the warmer valley outskirts and northern slopes also contribute to a diverse range of high-quality red wines.

A Legacy of Passionate Producers

The success of Durbanville Hills Winery is rooted in the dedication of its producers, who recognized the potential of their premium grapes. In the late 1990s, seven grape farmers came together to establish a winery, leading to the first vintage in 1999. Today, nine member farms contribute to the winery, all located near the cellar. These include Klein Roosboom, Ongegund, Hillcrest, Maastricht, Morgenster, Bloemendal, and Hooggelegen, with Welbeloond and De Grendel joining recently. The region boasts a rich heritage, with Klein Roosboom dating back to 1714, making it one of the oldest farms in the area, alongside those established in Constantia in 1685.

Went here on 24 September 2024 in the morning for some wine tasting. Ended up purchasing a really good bottle of wine. Our waitress was patient and friendly. It's best to place a reservation to have good seating. We just walked in and were lucky to have a seat available. There is a cellar tour available. It's really pretty inside and the view is spectacular.

We were there in May 2022. We ate both downstairs and upstairs. Of course, it tasted great too. The staff is friendly and helpful. We think it's such a shame that you can't buy the Tangram White Blend 2018 wine in Germany; we liked it so much 🙃 We'd love to come back. Thanks and greetings.

A spectacular winery with amazing views. The wine pairing was exceptional. Lovely varieties of food and wine. We also had a pizza, must say it one of the best we had. Short drive from the CT airport. Highly recommended. Not forgetting the Pinotage special edition with the chocolate 😋

We drove past the winery, and decided to try a wine tasting, also since we lived in the Durbanville Hills, so it was very appropriate to try the farm of the same name. Beautiful large winery, good parking options. We hadn't booked a table before arrival, but that was no problem, we got a table and completed our wine tasting, along with dried fruits and meats, as the picture also shows. Beautiful beautiful view, to stand outside, and look out over all the fields, out over the city and as the icing on the cake, Table Mountain at the very back of the horizon
