Different Wine Labels
The wines produced at Fattoi Ofelio e Figli are the Rosso di Montalcino DOC, the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva. Along with this they also produce the very popular Grappa di Brunello di Montalcino.
This grappa is one of the most precious and refined products produced on the farm.
The Grappa di Brunello di Montalcino is made from the pressings of Brunello di Montalcino. These pressings are gathered immediately after fermentation while they are still rich with scent. Production takes place in copper cauldrons, creating steam which is then distilled at low temperatures.
