The Fattoria Montereggi Winery has been around for almost a century and it still believes in the same values that it did back then : a place where work and nature are respected.

A winery that carries history and elegance with it and respects that nature it works with, Fattoria Montereggi Winery brings to you the finest of wines

A Winery That Comes From A Grand Name

Montereggi was derived from the name of a hill where it is said that the King of Goths, Radaigaiso hid his treasure after having lost a battle to the Romans. Montereggi which is “Mons Regis ” in Latin or the King’s Hill adds a certain hint of mystery to the name. Fattoria Montreggei Winery bought this piece of land in 1926. After World War II, a new initiative was taken to turn the farm into a specialization of vineyards and olive trees since these were what the region of Tuscany was best known for.

A Farm That Loves Fattoria Montereggi Winery and Likewise

Nestled in the region of Tuscany, in the green hills of Fiesole, Fattoria Montereggi had a sharp eye for their farm. They say that if you take care of the land you grow your seeds in, your land will give back to you in the form of rich and nutritious fruits and harvest. It could not have been more right with Fattoria Montereggi Winery. A winery that invests a lot of time and love to their farm, their farm has the optimal microclimate and exposure to sunlight. The soil here has calcareous clay structure. So if the name were derived from a name that was a mystery with the King’s treasure, it is no mystery as to how they make such good wine.

Consistency At Its Finest

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that maintaining consistency or being consistent for almost a century is rather a tedious task but not much for Fattoria Montereggi Winery. Their farm business center has remained the same as it once was where there is still share cropping and the same respect to nature.
