Wonderful place where we received a very warm welcome, in a picturesque setting, far from the classic tourist farms. Giorgio showed us around the place and spoiled us with excellent local Tuscan products that accompanied our wine and oil tasting. We left delighted with all our purchases, quality at this price is rare in Tuscany! Thanks again.

We were looking for a wine tasting with a local feel and the host gave us exactly that! He arranged for the tour in the afternoon although we called him in the morning. He and his family were very accommodating and went an extra mile to make the experience enjoyable for us and our child! The setting itself is very authentic and rustic taking you into their world. The host was very polite by answering all the questions although there were many of them! We picked up 4 bottles after the tour and are definitely not disappointed. The wines are rich in taste and have a wonderful aroma. Thanks again for the wonderful experience! It was like visiting a home in Tuscany! Please keep it that way!

A great opportunity to see how small batch wine is made in the area. The farm has a rustic feel and the hosts are friendly and authentic. The wines and olive oil are excellent and cellar door very reasonably priced. Spend an hour or two here away from the tourist crowds of Florence and get a feel for everyday life in the tuscan countryside. NB: Best to drive or have transportation pre booked as it might prove difficult to get a return taxi into Florence.

Visiting Florence, on the last evening we decided to go to dinner in Fiesole in a typical trattoria. On the table there was a bottle of extra virgin olive oil from the Montereggi farm that we poured on the fantastic "fiorentina" that we had ordered. A sublime oil with an enveloping flavour that enhances any dish, so much so that we asked the owner of the trattoria if it was possible to buy it. He replied that they produce and buy it at the Montereggi farm which is a few km from them. The next day, since we were leaving, we would not have had time to go to the farm to buy it and so the restaurateur kindly gave us a bottle. Honestly one of the best extra virgin olive oils I have ever tasted, so much so that now online purchasing is fixed. An excellence. Congratulations!!!

Today we were at the Fattoria Montereggi di Cavalloni Giorgio winery and were delighted by the small but fine family business. The son of the family gave us good advice and then gave us a little private tour of the wine cellar. We would love to come back.

If you're a wine enthusiast, this is definitely the place to visit. Very friendly and professional host, and this is a unique opportunity to meet real people, see a real place, and not just a tour for tourists like those offered by some bigger producers. Wines are delicious ( and so is olive oil by the way), very reasonable prices, the area is beautiful, the place has a long tradition. We had a lovely visit. Super nice little company where you can buy wine and olive oil. The owner only speaks Italian but you can come to an agreement. You have to look carefully on the street as it's easy to miss. I think the price is right too: 5l canister 60€, 1l bottle 12€.

Really a great wine! High-end Chianti Riserva or Classico, Zolla Sangiovese among my favourites. Excellent oil and method. I must also congratulate the Toscan White, a beautiful new discovery! Family business, prepared and very friendly, always ready to satisfy my requests!

A very romantic, old, traditional winery, which is looked after very well by Diego, the small and very loud dog. If you dare to get past Diego, you can also buy wine in a tiny shed (currently on Wednesdays). We bought Chianti, Riserva 2010: ruby red, great aroma, fruity, blackberry, notes of aging with oak barrels, fruity, ripe, velvety taste, well-integrated tannins, with a long finish. A real sensation, especially when you consider the price!
