At Fattoria Varramista Winery, the production team cultivates a vast range of grapes. They grow high-quality Syrah, Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, in combination with high-end Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. But they produce rich-quality red wines as well. The aging process is separate for each type of wine, and the owner selects only those wines that come from the best barriques. Today, Varramista boasts three farms with private pools, immersed in the vineyards and one farm surrounded by the Italian park.

Winemaking in a Renaissance Villa

The ancient villa, Podere Lecceta, dates back to the late Renaissance. During the year 1950, the villa was a residence of Italian Piaggio and Agnelli Families. In 1990, Giovanni Alberto Agnelli made it his permanent home. In the 90s, Giovanni Alberto Agnelli, along with oenologist Federico, began the renovation of the vineyards and the production system in the winery. The ancient doors of the villa are centuries-old, dating back to the 1600s.
