Galan Vineyards, Prominent Winemaker with Excellent Craft
Galan Vineyards was established by Alvaro Galan, whose family was deeply involved in the Chilean wine traditions, starting at the beginning of the last century. From a young age, Alvaro Galan began working in different winemaking activities until he became a prominent and well-known winemaker in the area. In 1993, Galan and his three sons acquired the winery land to produce wines of excellence, exported to more than 20 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and America.
The Vision and Concept of the Winery
As a winery, Galan Vineyards understands the importance of sustainability in a holistic way with the environment, the crops, productive processes, corporate social responsibility, and human relations. The vineyard engages in manually harvesting, uses drip irrigation systems, uses water dosage systems in production processes, and recycles solid waste. The pomace and grape stalks are all delivered to another business, producing winemaking supplies.
The vision of Galan Winery is to be recognized worldwide for the excellence of their wines while their mission is to elaborate on and develop wines that satisfy consumers’ new tendencies and tastes.
Boasting a Desirable Climate
Galan Vineyards can be found in the Maule Valley, located in Chile, and has a Mediterranean climate with fertile land for wine production. The climatic conditions in this area are perfect for wine production because of precipitation, low winter temperatures, warm summers, and often dry daily temperatures.
