Spectacular Grapes Producing Amazing Wine
The most grown grape variety here is the Malvazija Istarska which accounts for nearly 60% of the total vineyards. The winery is also known for making extra virgin olive oil from their olives.
Their vineyards are currently spread over an area of 10 hectares with the majority of it being planted with the Istrian Malvazija. The staff works hard in the vineyards to make sure they yield high quality grapes for their wines. Apart from the Malvazija, they also grow other grape varieties that include the local Teran and Yellow Muscat. International grape varietals Syrah, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon also grow in their vineyards. The best grapes are handpicked and used to make their red, white, rose, sparkling and dessert wines.
Olives That Are One of the Best in the World
Geržinić also grows three types of olives in their groves: Pendolino, Istrian Bjelica and Italian Leccino that allow them to make high-quality olive oil. Their olive oil was included many times in the Flos Olei guide written by Marco Orregia that honours the best olive oils in the world. These characteristics make olives one of the best plants of the Mediterranean.
