Gorgo Winery: A Gem of the Morainic Hills

Founded in 1975 by the Bricolo family, Gorgo Winery spans 53 hectares of lush vineyards nestled in the Morainic hills near Custoza, between Verona and Lake Garda. Initially starting with 22 hectares, the winery has expanded its certified organic land in the Bardolino and Bianco di Custoza regions, ensuring a commitment to sustainable practices.

Under the guidance of Roberto Bricolo and a seasoned agronomist with over 30 years of experience, Gorgo Winery adheres to strict regulations set by the Ministry of Agriculture and the European Union, ensuring the highest quality in organic viticulture.

Commitment to Healthy Grapes

At Gorgo, the focus is on preserving the unique terroir and enhancing local grape varieties. The vineyard's light-textured soil, rich in humus, pebbles, and rock fragments, contributes to the health of the grapes. Traditional methods, including the use of organic fertilizers, are employed to maintain the vitality of the vineyards.

Wines Rooted in Tradition

The winery cultivates a variety of grapes, including Garganega, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Corvina, which are crafted into an array of natural wines—red, white, rosé, sparkling, and dessert. The manual harvesting process reflects the winery's dedication to quality, with Roberto and his trusted oenologist overseeing the vinification process. The friendly staff warmly welcomes visitors, eager to share their passion for wine and the rich traditions of the region.

We came at lunchtime. They were supposed to be closed but the door was open, thus a smiling woman- Suzi met us and said that she will serve us because of the open door. She was so nise! She was so welcoming! She is a professional! And she is so passionate about the wines they produce. She was generous. She showed us the premises and we had excellent wines! We'll be back soon. Ilan

Today, one day after the mention in the Gambero Rosso with 3 glasses, we had the pleasure of tasting the Gorgo Custoza Superiore Summa 2022 on site. A revelation. Anyone who likes excellent white wine should get their hands on this wine.

Guided tour and tasting accompanied by a wonderful cheese and sausage platter. I had already tried their wines and took the opportunity to try some new ones (the Rabitto in particular, I really liked it!) Thanks to Sofia and all the staff for their kindness and friendliness! I'll be back soon!
