The Gorgo winery- Organic Winery located on the Morainic Hills
The Gorgo winery, owned by Bricolo family, was founded in 1975 and currently covers 53 hectares of vines located on the Morainic hills around the village of Custoza, between the town of Verona and Garda Lake.
Earlier it owned 22 hectares, but now it owns 53 hectares of certified organic land in the Bardolino and Bianco di Custoza region. Roberto Bricolo owns the winery and is supported by a wise agronomist for thirty years.
The family chose to join the program of organic vine-growing, and all the production comply with rigidly-established regulations accredited by the Ministry of Agriculture and the European Union.
Healthy Grapes
The territorial identity, the enhancement of the local varieties, and the guarantee of the healthiness of their grapes are the ideals that inspire the company to produce wines faithful to their roots but with a modern touch. The terroir here features light-textured soil with humus, pebbles, rock fragments and is typically whitish in color. They still use traditional methods like organic fertilizers, to keep the vineyards healthy.
Winery with Authentic Traditions
The grapes that grow here are Garganega, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Corvina and are used to make their natural red, white, rose, sparkling, and dessert wines. The harvesting process is manual and takes a long time. The owner and his trusted oenologist manage the vinification, and they aim to make wines that reflect their authentic traditions and the qualities of their terroir. The staff is very friendly and welcomes all guests and visitors to the estate with enthusiasm.
