Hiestand Winery

The Artisans Behind Hiestand Wines

Nestled between Mainz and Worms in the charming village of Guntersblum, Hiestand Winery is led by Gunther Hiestand, who has been dedicated to the family legacy since 2012. The winery is renowned for its exceptional German Riesling, a varietal that showcases the unique terroir of the Rheinhessen region. With vineyards located in prime sites like Eiserne Hand, Steig-Terrassen, and Kreuzkapelle, Hiestand aims to be among the top wine producers in Germany.

Cultivating Quality Through Nature

For over six centuries, the Hiestand family has cultivated their vineyards with a deep respect for nature. Their commitment to quality is evident in every bottle, as they strive to capture the essence of their grapes and the minerality of the Rhine front's diverse soils. The winery, housed in an 18th-century cellar, emphasizes minimal intervention in the winemaking process, allowing the wines to express their unique characteristics. Each bottle reflects the microclimate of its origin, showcasing the vitality of the land and the careful ecological management that brings their vines to life.
