A Family-Owned Gem in Dalmatia's Wine Scene
Established in 2019, Kastel Sikuli is a family-run boutique winery located near the historic settlement of Sikuli on the Dalmatian Coast. This area, known for its rich winemaking history dating back to the second century BC, was once a thriving hub for wine production, as evidenced by the discovery of ancient amphorae and large wine glasses. The winery's proximity to the Sikuli archaeological site highlights its connection to the region's long-standing viticultural traditions.
A New Winery with Deep Roots in Winemaking
Kastel Sikuli may be a young winery, but it benefits from the extensive experience of its owner, who has spent years honing his craft in successful wineries. The winery is surrounded by 13,000 square meters of vineyards, complemented by two additional vineyards with 3,000 vines in the Dalmatian interior. The region's ideal climate plays a crucial role in grape cultivation, ensuring the perfect balance of acidity and sugar levels for producing exceptional wines.
A Diverse Selection of Wines for Every Palate
Kastel Sikuli offers a variety of wines crafted from carefully selected grape varieties, including Posip, Kastelanski, and Crljenak. These wines pair beautifully with a range of dishes, from meat and venison to aged cheeses, fish, and risottos. Each sip reveals a unique taste and aroma, reflecting the terroir and the meticulous care taken during the winemaking process. The winery's commitment to quality ensures that every bottle showcases the best of Dalmatia's rich viticultural heritage.
