Fantastic Sikuli

Kastel Sikuli really delivered. We had a six course dinner with wine pairing. We had a private table in the pavilion with an incredible view over the whole of Kastela and towards Split. All the dishes were exquisite and the wines were very well matched. We were told a lot about the vineyard, the grapes and the production. This was my seventieth birthday and the overall experience was worth every euro. We highly recommend Kastel Sikuli.

This is a family owned winery overlooking Split. Definitely a fun visit with amazing food and wine. The drive up by American standards is “scary”, but it’s worth the drive. It’s close to the airport and about a 30 minute drive out of the city. Give them a quick call if you don’t reserve ahead of time (country code is +385). Aside from the great views and wonderful family, they have wines that represent Dalmatia and Croatia. The grape varieties are local and have centuries of history here.

The place is amazing. Roads to get there are a bit rocky but worth the ride. The view is outstanding. I recommend going around 4:00-5:00 PM (we were end of September) to catch the sunset on the mountains. The wine was very good, nice pairing with the food, which definitely made us go outside our comfort zone. Ivan was a great host, we enjoyed our evening.

We are so glad we stopped in on our drive to Split! Beautiful location, delicious wine and food, welcoming and hospitable staff. We did the three wine tasting and liked the wine so much that we bought two bottles to go. Outstanding experience!

We had a lovely time at Kastel Sikuli! We enjoyed every part of the experience including the hospitality, beautiful views overlooking split, the mountains and Adriatic Sea! The wine was delicious, and the food was perfectly paired with each wine. Would recommend to anyone and everyone who visits the area!
