A Family-Owned Vineyard Crafting Exceptional Burgundy Wines
Four Generations of Winemaking Tradition
Domaine Gavignet Père & Fils has a rich history that dates back to the 19th century, founded by Honoré Gavignet in Nuits Saint Georges. His son, Maurice Gavignet, continued the family legacy, and today, the estate is managed by Arnaud Gavignet, the great-grandson of the founder. This family-owned vineyard has thrived for four generations, driven by a shared passion for winemaking.
Quality and Craftsmanship at Domaine Gavignet
What sets Domaine Gavignet apart is its commitment to quality and meticulous care in winemaking. The vineyard produces grapes of exceptional quality, harvested by hand to ensure the best selection. The wines are aged in the estate's expansive cellars, allowing the rich flavors of red fruits and blackberries to develop fully. Vinification occurs in Rue Félix Tisserand, with wines aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, utilizing between 25% to 100% new oak depending on the appellation. The cellar master pays close attention to extraction, highlighting the unique characteristics of the various soil types.
