Founded in 1729, Maison Ruinart holds the distinction of being the first Champagne House in history.

A Legacy of Excellence

With nearly three centuries of history, Maison Ruinart has established itself as a cornerstone of the Champagne industry. Nicolas Ruinart laid the foundation for this iconic winery in September 1729, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey. By 1764, Maison Ruinart made history again by shipping the first Rosé Champagne across Europe, showcasing its innovative spirit. Each generation of the Ruinart family has contributed unique skills and styles, ensuring that the winery's rich traditions continue to thrive.

Exceptional Grapes from Unique Terroir

The quality of wine is deeply rooted in the grapes and the terroir from which they come. At Maison Ruinart, Chardonnay grapes are the star, known for their complexity and freshness. The winery's vineyards benefit from chalky soil and a favorable climate, creating ideal conditions for cultivating these exceptional grapes. This commitment to quality ensures that every bottle of Ruinart Champagne reflects the unique characteristics of its origin.

The Craft of Winemaking

At Maison Ruinart, winemaking is regarded as an art form. The skilled winemakers focus on meticulous processes to create wines that are not only delicious but also meant to be enjoyed in the right setting. Visitors can learn about the intricate techniques involved in winemaking and the nuances of wine tasting, enhancing their appreciation for this timeless craft.

Second experience of visiting country cellars but there is no comparison. Everything is a higher level. From the professionalism of the guides to the galleries and the chalk pits, this first country house historically is impressive. The ranges offered are well above the competitors but without wanting to denigrate them given that tastes are different for each of us and that is the beauty of life.

Excellent experience! Leo was a wonderful guide through the 2 hour tour and had so much knowledge to share about the history of the house, as well as their dedication to working with artists to represent every season with artists. Very unique tour and wonderful staff at every interaction.

One of the most beautiful Maisons you could ever have the pleasure of visiting. It made for a unique and magical experience! From the super knowledgeable and friendly staff, one of the most complete visits I have ever had the pleasure of participating in. We were unlucky to book the last visit available in French. Unfortunately my partner and I do not speak it, but they were happy to translate into English the parts that were more difficult for us to understand in our native language. An experience I highly recommend. I thank the staff at Maison Ruinart.

Amazing champagne house 🥂 What set this one apart was the tour guide, he was amazing. And also, they let you compare a normal champagne to its vintage counterpart, which is amazing, you can really get a feel for what separates them. We had a vintage 2009 rose and vintage 2007 blanc de blanc, which are like 300 a bottle, so you certainly get your moneys worth 😎💪🏽 Thank you:)

Experience always so pleasant. A moment suspended in a cozy, warm atmosphere with exceptional dishes with which the house presents us its best food and wine pairings. Vintages whose reputation is well established to delight your taste buds from the beginning to the end of the meal. The only thing you will ask yourself when leaving is: "When is our next visit?" Special mention also for the staff always so friendly and attentive. Also note the refreshment of the premises with a new refined and tastefully decorated structure that brings a touch of modernity to this beautiful address. In summary: GO FOR IT!
