A Family Tradition in Wine Production
Mannschreck Weine is a family-owned winery nestled in the picturesque village of Stockinglbach, located in a serene side valley of the Remstal. With a rich history dating back to 1709, this winery has evolved from a mixed agricultural farm into a dedicated wine-growing business, producing its own bottled wines over the last three generations.
The Flourishing Vineyards of Mannschreck
Our vineyards thrive in the cool, elevated regions of the Remstal, where the unique microclimate allows for extended maturation of white wines during autumn. Spanning nearly 9 hectares across over 40 meticulously managed plots, our vines flourish in southwest-oriented Keuper soils that are nutrient-rich and retain heat. The Altenberg, our prime vineyard site, features slopes with grades up to 50%, providing optimal sunlight for grape varieties such as Lemberger, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. This ideal growing environment ensures that our grapes reach their full potential, resulting in exceptional wines.
Quality Through Craftsmanship
Since its inception in 1709, Mannschreck Weine has been dedicated to producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of Stockinglbach. Our skilled winemakers focus on nurturing the vines with care and expertise, ensuring that each grape contributes to the aromatic and varietal character of our wines. The combination of craftsmanship and a deep understanding of the local soil and climate allows us to create wines that truly represent the essence of the Remstal region.
