Located in the charming town of Beilstein, Weingut Und Edelbrennerei Gemmrich spans 7 hectares of picturesque vineyards. Surrounded by lush forests and fruit orchards, this small winery is steeped in history, featuring beautiful old buildings and a stunning castle nestled among the vines. The winery is proudly operated by the fourth and fifth generations of the Gemmrich family, who focus on producing a variety of wines, including innovative fungus-resistant grape varieties. In addition to wine, they craft around 50 different spirits from local fruits.

A Legacy of Sustainable Practices

The Gemmrich family's roots trace back to a time when their ancestors worked in the nearby forests and raised livestock. Bernd Gemmrich was the visionary who transformed the estate into a dedicated winery and distillery. Today, the estate encompasses 7.5 hectares of vineyards and 2.5 hectares of fruit fields, allowing for the production of approximately 25 distinct wines, 50 spirits, cider, and various other alcoholic beverages. Sustainability is at the heart of their operations, ensuring the health of their vineyards and the surrounding environment.

A Diverse Selection of Wines

The winery cultivates a wide range of grape varieties, including Lemberger, Trollinger, Riesling, Cabernet Cubin, Regent, Cabernet Cortis, Bronner, Muscaris, Cabernet Blanc, and Sauvignon Blanc. They produce red, white, rosé, sparkling, and dessert wines, with red wine making up about 70% of their total production. The wines crafted from fungus-resistant grapes are marketed under the UNKAPUTTBAR label, which translates to "unbreakable," reflecting their commitment to quality and resilience.
