Weingut Fuerst Hohenlohe, Producing Award-Winning Wines

Among the steep, sunbaked slopes of the beautiful village of Oehringen, Weingut Fuerst Hohenlohe is located in the Württemberg region of Germany. The vineyards enjoy fertile soils and a distinct microclimate, thus giving birth to award-winning VDP. Grosse Lage, VDP.Gutsweine and VDP.Ortsweine wines.

Today, the 27th generation of the winemaking family manages Weingut Fuerst Hohenlohe.
Today, the 27th generation of the winemaking family, also a member of the Association Of German Prädikatsweingüter, takes care of the winery production. In 2007, the Oehringen-based family replanted the vineyards of Verrenberg, and in 2008 they started practicing organic grape cultivation. Using their grapes, the winery produces luscious red, white, and sparkling wines.

Vineyards Covering 17 Hectares

At Fuerst Hohenlohe Winery, the vineyards cover 17 hectares on which the owners grow three main varieties, including world-class Riesling, Lemberger, and Pinot Noir. These vines enjoy the perfect location, i.e., Keupersandstein with Muschelkalkhorizont, which is unique for the Hohenlohe level. The harvesting activities at Fuerst Hohenlohe Winery are carried out manually, and the selected berries are pressed, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks, outfitted with temperature-controlled devices. The winery then stores their wines in wooden barrels for aging and refining.

Family-Owned Restaurant at the Winery

The winery is also the home of a family-owned restaurant. It is so spacious that it can accommodate 120 people simultaneously, and guests can organize events in the space. The menu of the restaurant is extensive, with a large number of wine-food pairing options. Its ambiance and cozy atmosphere are what guests love. The sun-soaked terrace and the lush garden are the places to enjoy a glass of wine while relishing the countryside’s beauty.
