Viticulture at Weingut Häußermann since 1580
Weingut Häußermann is in the Sternenfels municipality, at the base of the northern Black Forest at the intersection of Pforzheim-Heilbronn and Stuttgart-Karslruhrer, just outside the serene village of Diefenbach. The tradition of winemaking goes back to 1580 here and has persisted through the following generations. Inge and Werner Häußermann set up the winery in 1972, and it was relocated in 1986 to Diefenbach. There is a wooden barrel cellar and a ballroom used for weddings.
A great mix of red and white grape varieties
The company’s vineyards are present on the western slopes of the Stromberg. Both red and white grape varieties thrive in the Keuper soils as they are ideal for the cultivation and growth of quality grapes. Experience and knowledge play a part in making the best possible wines. Riesling, Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc, Lemberger, Trollinger, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon are some grape types grown here. The best grapes are handpicked and processed gently to make red, white, rose, and sparkling wines.
