In the early 2000s, Franco's interactions with passionate winemakers and his love for the land led him to plant the first row of Merlot. What started as a hobby blossomed into the creation of Verdugo, a wine that highlights the volcanic soil's distinct characteristics and the family's unwavering commitment to quality.

Our vineyards prioritize balance, a core principle of biodynamic farming. We align our practices with nature's needs, fostering a continuous dialogue that adapts each year. Every winter, we plan our activities based on the biodynamic calendar, which guides us in understanding how celestial bodies influence agriculture and encourages respectful engagement with the environment.

Manual tasks such as pruning, green pruning, and harvesting are complemented by essential treatments using copper and sulfur, applied with a half-track to minimize soil compaction. We strictly avoid any chemical or synthetic substances, ensuring that our wines reflect the purity of the land.
