Montefioralle is a charming family-run winery nestled in the heart of Tuscany's Chianti Classico region, near the picturesque medieval village of Montefioralle. Surrounded by lush vineyards, this small winery offers breathtaking views of the iconic Chianti countryside, making it a perfect destination for wine lovers and travelers alike.
While the primary focus is on wine production, Montefioralle is also celebrated for its exceptional extra virgin olive oil.
With just 4 hectares of vineyards, Montefioralle produces fewer than 15,000 bottles of wine each year. This limited production allows the Sieni family to prioritize quality and craftsmanship in every bottle. The winery is dedicated to sustainable practices and received organic certification in 2019, reflecting its commitment to low environmental impact.
The vineyards are situated on the southern slopes of the hill where Montefioralle village stands, at an elevation of about 400 meters. The southeast-facing terraces benefit from well-draining soil rich in rock fragments, allowing the vines to develop deep root systems. The winery employs artisanal winemaking techniques, resulting in a selection of popular wines, including Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, IGT Montefioralle, and Vin Santo del C.C.

The person who ran the company, who was present that day, clearly knew not only in detail what he was talking about, but that he enjoyed doing it. He told us both the history and the operation of the company and the process that leads to having the bottled wine ready to drink. A delightful person, helpful, kind and incredibly welcoming. It is a family-run company with wine, which I usually don't go crazy about, spectacular, with a breathtaking view of the small town and the colorful vineyards in autumn. An experience that was probably the best of our trip to Tuscany. It will be worth returning, without a doubt! Thanks again.

my friend and I ended up at this winery by chance while walking in the nearby town and I am so pleased we did. It technically wasn’t open, but the man there gave us a whole tour and was so kind and welcoming. He was very knowledgeable about the place and gave us all the information. We had an amazing time and highly recommend this place.

We were warmly welcomed for this visit to the Chianti cellar. Good explanations and anecdotes about the history of the estate and tasting of 4 different vintages around homemade aperitifs.

Absolutely MUST visit when in the area! This is the perfect example of a beautiful and immersive wine experience. I was lucky enough to meet Manila and Lorenzo who were beyond hospitable in every way. The wines are some of the best I’ve had, and the view cannot be beat. Do not miss this winery!
