Established in 2002, this winery has transformed historic 18th-century mills into a modern winemaking facility. One of the mills, featuring the ancient Torre di Segalari, serves as a charming spot for wine tastings and tours.

Founded by passionate wine enthusiasts Emilio Monechi and Marina Tinacci Mannelli, Mulini di Segalari combines expertise and creativity. Emilio, an experienced oenologist, and Marina, a talented architect, have revitalized the old mills and replanted the vineyards in the renowned DOC Bolgheri region. As a member of the Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti, the winery is committed to organic practices that honor biodiversity and the environment.

Wines Aged in Terracotta and Oak

Spanning 2.7 hectares, the vineyards at Mulini di Segalari feature a diverse selection of grapes. The estate cultivates red varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Syrah, alongside Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, and Pugnitello. Additionally, white grape varieties like Vermentino, Manzoni Bianco, and Viognier thrive here. The vines benefit from natural fertilizers, resulting in grapes that truly reflect the terroir. In the cellar, wines are aged in a combination of terracotta containers and oak barrels, ranging from 10 to 23 hectoliters, allowing for a unique maturation process.

On September 29th we visited the vineyards with Mrs. Marina who welcomed us with great courtesy and kindness. He shared his knowledge and his biodynamic philosophy with us with an unusual passion. We then tasted oil and 5 excellent wines accompanied by a platter of high quality cured meats and cheeses. It was a wonderful experience, definitely recommended. Thank you to Marina and all her staff. Great job!

The winery is surrounded by nature and offers biodynamic wines of excellent quality, the result of enormous and demanding work in the vineyard. The platter of cold cuts, cheeses and other high-quality products that accompany the tasting is also tasty. Congratulations to Mrs. Marina and her collaborators. A warm hug from Brescia.
