A Dream Come True

Ottomani Winery is the realization of a lifelong dream shared by four friends who grew up together. Nestled between Greve in Chianti and Impruneta, this estate produces organic wines that showcase the meticulous care taken in selecting only the finest grapes for their cellar. Each bottle reflects their commitment to quality and the rich heritage of Tuscany.

Olives and Wines

The Ottomani estate has a long-standing tradition of olive oil production, with its olive groves thriving in the fertile lands of Greve in Chianti and Impruneta. Renowned for its organic extra virgin olive oil, Ottomani maintains its groves with passion and dedication. Olives are processed within 12 hours of harvest, using cold extraction methods to preserve their natural flavors. The vineyard also focuses on reviving old vines and enhancing local grape varieties, ensuring a true taste of the region.

A Step Towards a Sustainable Future

From the outset, the owners of Ottomani have prioritized sustainability, opting against synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers. They believe in nurturing the land to produce the best results. By employing sustainable agricultural practices and utilizing indigenous grape varieties, they embrace biological and biodynamic cultivation techniques. This commitment not only benefits the environment but also enhances the quality of their wines.

One of the best wine tours and tastings we have had. The wines were amazing, Rosé and Amohora Rosso the favourites. Great cheese from a local farm. Bettina was lovely and informative too!

I highly recommend visiting this beautiful estate, immersed in the wonderful panorama of Florentine Chianti, and tasting its wines, of absolute excellence. My wife and I spent a few days in Chianti and, among other things, we decided to visit the OTTOMANI estate, because some time ago we had tasted a bottle of their Chianti Classico, which we really liked. We were welcomed by Andrea, who with great kindness, friendliness and professionalism immediately led us to visit the winery. The visit was very interesting, because the company produces different types of wine, some of which are vinified in terracotta jars and amphorae, according to a thousand-year-old tradition that dates back to the ancient Romans. The company also collaborates with several universities on research projects on wine and vin santo. It was very pleasant to follow Andrea's explanations, who in addition to the various information, conveyed to us his immense passion for the work he does and for the fruits of his work. We then moved on to the actual tasting, during which we reviewed the various wines from the winery, starting with the whites, moving on to the rosés and then the reds, which gradually gained importance and structure, all accompanied by a selection of excellent Tuscan cheeses and cold cuts and bruschetta with new oil, produced by the same OTTOMANI farm, truly delicious and fragrant. Personally, I found all the wines I tasted to be excellent, with particular reference to the Chianti Classico Riserva and, above all, the incredible and spectacular Rosso Toscano IGT based on pure Canaiolo nero grapes. At the end of the tasting we congratulated Andrea and the other members of the company, thanking them for the wonderful experience and we bought a good supply of wines to take home while we waited for the next visit. To conclude, the OTTOMANI agricultural company produces wines of high quality and excellence, with refined lines in wood and others, more particular, vinified directly in large terracotta amphorae, absolutely worth trying, all seasoned with the stunning Chianti landscape and the passion and kindness and friendliness of the guys who run this company, I absolutely recommend visiting it! gabriel

We were welcomed by Andrea and Alessandro for a visit to the farm and a tasting. From their work you can see the passion and professionalism they put into the products they offer. The result is an experience that I recommend to everyone: relaxation, contact with nature, hospitality and the fantastic products tasted. The wines are organic and delicious from start to finish! Even the cheese platter and the bread with oil (homemade) were great! They were also very kind to our dog, who was welcomed with a bowl of fresh water. We will be back!
