Enjoy the beautiful landscape at Riparbella winery
Riparbella lies in the south of Tuscany in the Maremma, which is about 70 kilometers southwest of Florence and about 40 kilometers southeast of Pisa. From the scenic location, one can see the mountains of Elba, Corsica and a point of Follonica Bay on the horizon, provided that the weather is clear. Riparbella is surrounded by 46 acres of its own woodland and country which is cultivated as per the organic guidelines. There are long rows of artichokes, vegetable and fruit gardens, herb bed with rare herb varieties and vineyards that blossom downhill.

Run by a beautiful couple, the founders of Podere Riparbella winery have an interesting background and journey to the winemaking. Veronica Malzacher, the wife, holds extensive experiences in hotels, catering and culture. She had even built a pasta production company and a sales company for Italian specialties in Switzerland. Her husband, Christian Prohaska, is an architect of the late 60s. He has specialized in renovating homes and hotels. He also has intensive education in the theory of winegrowing and enology.
Do not miss a gorgeous tasting
Through their long years of working, they have ample experiences which they use for a common eco project based in Tuscany. Since 1993, the vineyards are organic and also since the same year, they have built and converted the farmhouse.
New vines were added in 1995 and since 1997, their accommodation was opened to all guests
The wine variety of the appellation Costa Toscana is made in this winery. The grape varieties that grow in the vineyard downhill the property is Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Nero e Vermentino. These grapes are pressed by themselves in this winery to craft high quality red and white wines.
