Fernando was an excellent host for a day visiting the winery. We messaged on WhatsApp and he accommodated us with a tour around the vines, down to the river and in the cellar/winemaking room. We were very impressed and his hospitality was unmatched. He was very kind and the wine was delicious . We had a lovely afternoon here I would highly recommend!

Small production of high quality wine. The visit is very interactive, we learn about the history of the farm and wine production. It ends with a wine tasting with a breathtaking view.

My experience was wonderful. We immediately felt very comfortable, happy to be surrounded by so much greenery and the goodness of the products of this land that its owner Fernando cares for with great care and passion. I highly recommend visiting this place. Thank you Fernando...

Magical 💖! Enchanting: a little "Paradise" on earth where life is good far from all the hustle and bustle. Its multilingual Owner is Caring, Charming, Warm, Generous and always ready to help and satisfy his Guests... It is NOT a "hotel", nor a "restaurant" as some seem to expect and look for... but a "HAVEN OF PEACE"... where the Welcome, which is reserved for us, is a nice Surprise on our arrival..., but also where, in the early morning, a very Generous breakfast awaits us with Happiness... Very beautiful site where many activities are offered by reservation, where many restaurants are less than 1/4 hour around... and where many surprises are reserved for us... It's up to you, but if you are looking for a change of scenery, a guaranteed escape, then the Quinta das Escomoeiras is the place where you will discover it...! Welcome to you!!!

Spectacular!!! Both the treatment received and the place were wonderful. Don Fernando treated us very well, always attentive to everything and very kind.

The villa is beautiful!!! That good Portuguese taste that characterizes them, the access is perhaps a little complicated but when you arrive nothing matters... you are in the p…. Paradise!!! The pool is great, Fernando… the host is a beautiful person… a divine… super kind… friendly… polite… understanding and flexible if you bring dogs… the villa is super complete…. It has everything… apple trees, cherry trees, persimmon trees, pear trees, orange trees, lemon trees, avocado trees, walnut trees, figs, plum trees, olive trees… and lots of vineyards… grapes… it has an incredibly delicious local wine… it sells compotes and jams… a delicious olive oil… it has bay leaves, oregano, sage, lavender, mint, lemon verbena… pumpkin, tomatoes… the paths to the river are very pretty… there is a small river beach… it has a certified organic garden… it is a place to relax… there is an incredible silence… the breakfast is first class… (don’t pay attention to the bad reviews) … a constructive criticism: it would be advisable to put air conditioning or fans in the rooms and improve the size of the beds for tall people… everything is perfect… highly recommended!!!!!

Want to relax in beautiful and tranquil surroundings, enjoy a glass of excellent white wine (from the Quinta´s own vineyard!) by the pool? This is the place for you. Truly a bit of paradise - the pictures can not do this place justice.

Great stay. The welcome is simple and warm as well as the service. The setting is wonderful and offers nice little activities. It's a very nice place to relax.

A magical place

We stayed at Quinta das Escomoeiras for three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. It is a perfect location that has seclusion and privacy, with wonderful track to walk along the river below. The service from Fernando was fantastic and we really appreciated the trouble he went to to ensure some belongings we missed were shipped to Lisbon on our behalf. We cannot thank him enough for this. Breakfast in the mornings is a delightful affair sitting outside and overlooking the valley below. We would definitely stay here again on a return visit.

Special places are hard to find. It takes a while to get there but when you do it's wonderful.

I cannot go on to describe how much we enjoyed our time with Fernando at his lovely hotel. The staff were great and Juliet the Donkey deserved every apple we fed her.

a magical place and a wonderful host. ...

It's a paradise on earth. Vineyards, nature, a swiming pool, a river, a bicycle path and of course... how could I forget the fantastic Vinho Verde of Quinta das Escomoeiras. Mr. Fernando Fernandes is an awesome host and will make you feel at home! An extraordinary experience!

Like heaven on earth! The owner Fernando does everything to ensure that you have a pleasant stay. We felt completely at home. Beautiful garden with lots of flowers, fruit, and vegetables. You can enjoy the farm's own products at breakfast. The rooms are bright and airy.
