The Nativ- Winery residing in one of the best areas of Irpinia, on the hills of Taurasi
The Nativ winery is in one of the best areas of Irpinia, located on the hills of Taurasi, in the heart of Paternopoli. Renowned oenologist, Dr. Mario Ercolino set up the winery along with Dr. Roberta Pirone with the aim of making distinct wines. The company was established in 2008 and aims at making terroir-driven wines like Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino, Falanghina, and Aglianico of Taurasi. The name Nativ shows the origin of winemaking in Irpina that takes place through grapes grown regionally here.
Winery with a Biodiverse Environment
Irpinia has a biodiverse environment with hills, mountains, and valleys. Nativ has 15 hectares of vineyards that are located in the south-east area. The terroir is strong and unique that has a unique microclimate perfect for the cultivation of vines. The soil has limestone and clayey materials. The Mediterranean climate exposes the land to hot summers and cold winters with a big difference in temperature during day and night. This balance between the soil, climate, and vines help to make wines with the best features characteristic of the region.
Wide Variety of Wines
Nativ makes a wide variety of wines for the customers, almost 13 types. The best terroir-driven wines are their three Cru wines that are aromatic and linked to local Irpinia grapes. The wines are of Irpinia DOC and DOCG, along with a Campania IGT line of wines. The motivated staff and unique style of winemaking make the wines of Nativ so special and distinct.
The winery also export their wines to multiple countries, including Germany, Denmark, England, Spain, Belgium, Canada, China, Japan, etc.
