A Beautiful Winery Story to Tell

Stairs n’ Roses have a story to tell and they would be delighted to tell you their story. They started small and they loved every vine and every seed with all they have which resulted in beautiful wine bottles that you can hold today. In May of 2016, their vines started drifting out; their children were growing and were developing magnificently. By September of 2016, they were careful with the maturity control needed to be done for the first harvest. You can hear such stories at the winery itself where you can do it whilst tasting their end product.

The Unique Terroirs of Mosel

Stairs n’ Roses have spread across 6.5 hectares here in the lands of the Mosel region where they have nurtured many types of grapes namely Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot blanc, Pinot noir, Sauvignac, Cabernet blanc. Riesling is known as the queen of grape varieties and is their special grape.

History Engraved in their Estates

Stairs n’ Roses estates has been located on the right side of the Moselle in the district of Kindel since 1974. But the viticulture runs way longer than 1974 in the Molitor family. The Molitor family have a very long tradition in the Molitor family and it is evident even today in their wines.

A warm welcome and a truly fantastic product

A wine tasting from a small family winery, much like the product itself, is quite a different experience from an anodyne and sterile event with a large company. Daniel was friendly, knowledgeable and relaxed. The combination of a relaxed attitude, superb English and knowledge of every aspect of wine production made for a fascinating experience. We not only enjoyed all of the wines we tried (several of which would rank amongst the best we’ve ever experienced), but the whole family were made to feel welcome and the kids loved trying the many, many different varieties of grapes on show. I never even knew how much I didn’t know about the wine making process and the cultivation of grapes. I also didn’t know how much it would interest us. Incredible value, incredible wine and a highlight of our holiday in the Mosel region. Thank you Daniel 😊

Wine tasting with Daniel

We just want to say thank you to Daniel for leading our wine tasting. On beautiful evening, Daniel drove us a few hundred metres into the vineyards for a very relaxed wine tasting. Daniel was an excellent host and provided lots of information about the wines, their histories and their cultivation. The views over the Mosel valley are also absolutely amazing Thank you. We would highly recommend a visit to this vineyard.
