The Prüm Family History
The Prüm family's winemaking tradition dates back to 1156, marking their long-standing connection to the land. In 1842, Jodocus Prüm famously installed a sundial in one of his prime vineyard sites, which has since become a local landmark. The S.A. Prüm winery was officially established in 1911 by Sebastian Aloys Prüm, who inherited part of the family vineyards. Following Raimund Prüm Sr.'s leadership from 1950 until 1971, his son, Raimund Jr., expanded the winery's reach. In 2017, Saskia Andrea Prüm became the first female winemaker in the family, continuing the legacy with a fresh perspective.
