The Meaning Behind Tapanappa

The name “Tapanappa” is derived from a 550-million-year-old geological formation beneath the Fleurieu Peninsula, where our newest vineyard is located. In the local Aboriginal language, Tapanappa means “sticking to the path,” reflecting our commitment to quality and tradition.

A Legacy of Winemaking

With the next generation of the Croser family actively involved, Brian continues to pursue the finest expression of noble grape varieties suited to their unique terroirs, adapting to the nuances of each vintage.

Our winery and cellar door are situated just 25 minutes from Adelaide's CBD at the historic Tiers Vineyard in the Piccadilly Valley, the oldest vineyard in the Adelaide Hills wine region. I loved the wines, the places is good located and has a lot of different tasting to offer, I would recommend to provide more clean glasses, going from a white wine to a red wine in the same glass doesn't look good. But prices and wine is really recommended. :)

A stunning view to look at while we did our wine tasting. The girls at cellar door were very friendly and had a wealth of knowledge while taking their time to give us a thorough insight into each wine as well as the history of both labels and winemakers, giving a very interesting and personable experience. Overall a fantastic experience, I could have spent hours there!

Highly recommend the cellar door tasting experience provided by Carla - combining an extensive range of wines by Brian Croser (national treasure status) & his son Xavier. Starting with the brilliant bubbles & working through award winning whites & reds, offering interesting blend combinations & the chance to compare current & aged vintages. All skilfully presented with no rush & absolutely no hard sell (even though here & online is apparently the only place you can buy this amazing stuff). Couldn’t leave without a bottle of that incredible DAOSA sparkling rose. A bargain compared to it’s French equivalent.
