Organic Wines of Bulichella Winery

Situated in the charming medieval village of Suvereto in the Val di Cornia, Bulichella Winery has been a pioneer of organic winemaking since its establishment in 1983. As one of Italy's first certified organic wineries, the founders, Hideyuki and Marisa Miyakawa, have always recognized the unique potential of this region. Their commitment to producing high-quality wines while respecting the environment is evident in every bottle.

A Family-Run Winery

Bulichella Winery is a true family affair. Over the years, the Miyakawa family has passionately nurtured this project, with their children joining the effort. In 2023, the third generation stepped in, bringing fresh ideas and energy to the winery's future. The winery's portfolio features IGT Costa Toscana and DOCG Suvereto wines, with Hideyuki M. actively contributing as President of the Suvereto and Val di Cornia Consortium since the 2000s.

The Medieval Village of Suvereto

Suvereto is a picturesque medieval village with roots dating back to the early 1000s, nestled in a lush valley alongside the Cornia River. This hidden gem boasts cobblestone streets, historic stone buildings, palazzi, churches, and cloisters that reflect its rich history and artistic heritage. The warmth of its residents adds to the village's charm, making it a vibrant and authentic destination for visitors.

Welcoming environment, the parking is shaded and outside the structure, which makes the context even more naturalistic. The rooms are spacious (even the bathroom and shower are very large), overlooking a shared garden and at the same time private for each room. The well-stocked breakfast includes local and genuine products. I absolutely recommend this structure to spend a few days of relaxation in contact with nature.

Both the winery, where you can taste wines that represent the "terroir", and the farmhouse are excellent, in fact during the stay it is possible to mentally disconnect from the surrounding world allowing you to fully enjoy nature. Magnificent!

A lovely experience with a visit to the winery and tasting of their excellent wines accompanied by bread or olive oil, always produced in-house. We were very well guided by the knowledgeable and friendly Stefano. Well done! Absolutely recommended.

Had a great visit to one of the oldest organic wineries in the area. Great winetasting hosted by one of the winemakers. She was lovely and gave lots of insights on the process and art of winemaking. The 2015 coldipietrerosse was one of the best wines I had in a long time and their Shiraz and Vermentino were also great. So make the short 20 minute walk and go for a visit if you can. If you do, make a stopover at Casadei another great winery along the same road.
