Organic and Vegan Wines from the Heart of Tuscany
A Historic Estate Surrounded by Nature
Tenuta Casabianca is set on a sprawling 200-hectare estate in the picturesque Chianti region, an area once inhabited by the Etruscans. The estate is a haven for wildlife, featuring Mediterranean scrub and woodlands that provide a natural habitat for wild boars, deer, and various bird species. Five beautifully restored 13th-century farmhouses dot the landscape, preserving their original architectural charm. Inside, the Sienese stone walls create a warm atmosphere, blending modern comforts with traditional Tuscan decor to offer inviting vacation homes.
Commitment to Organic and Vegan Practices
Our vineyards, spanning 71 hectares, thrive in a sustainable environment, nestled between two rivers in the Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG. We prioritize eco-friendly practices, which is why we are proud to be both Organic and Vegan Certified. Our commitment extends to reducing the weight of our bottles, using recyclable labels and capsules, and crafting corks from vegetable biopolymers, ensuring minimal environmental impact.
The Casabianca Vineyards
Positioned at an elevation of 190 to 235 meters, our vineyards benefit from a north-south exposure that enhances grape quality. With an average density of 5,000 plants per hectare, we cultivate a diverse range of grape varieties, including Sangiovese, Merlot, Canaiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Colorino, Vermentino, and Viognier. These selections are the result of careful clonal research conducted at our experimental vineyard, ensuring the production of exceptional wines.
