Flanked among the beautiful Toscana landscapes, Tenuta Del Palagio winery is located in the wine-growing region of Chianti Classico, where the estate owns an area of 100 hectares. Twenty-five hectares of the land is dedicated to vineyards. Here, you can witness the wonders of around 15 different types of wines, out of which super dessert wines and elegant red wines are the most popular.

Winery using Conventional Methods

Preserving the traditions of about 200 years, the owners of Tenuta Del Palagio focuses on using conventional methods of wine production with a pinch of innovation. In the cellar, winemakers and agronomists work in harmony, giving rise to high-quality Chianti Classico DOC labels. The total output of the winery is around 130,000 bottles of wines.

Top-Class Grape Varieties

The vineyards are situated in a charming hamlet of Campòli in San Casciano Val di Pesa, where the production staff grows a variety of grapes. It includes top-class Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Colorino, combined with high-end Trebbiano, Malvasia del chianti, and Petit Manseng. Some rare grapes, such as Traminer, Viognier, Carmenere, and Petit Verdot, can also be seen in the vineyards. A few special types of wines are produced using fruity Syrah, Rebo, Pugnitello, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Canaiolo, Lambrusco Maestri, and Lancellotta.

Tenuta Del Palagio winery also owns an elegant Villa, known as Pian de’ Noci, where guests are welcome to discover the history of the winemaking family. The farmhouse was renovated in 2011, and now it has five apartments and can host around 20 people. Every apartment is facilitated with AC and heating system, along with a well-equipped kitchen.

Here, you can taste estate wines and extra virgin olive oil, while enjoying the breathtaking views of the countryside.
