Winery Built in a Medieval Villa
Perched on the captivating Chianti valley and surrounded by the red soil, a medieval Vila, now known as the Trecciano Winery, is located on the Southern slopes of the Montagnola Senese. The estate owns 22 hectares of farming land, where fruity grapes and olives bloom out, creating a sense of unbelievable aromatic beauty. Covered by wooded hills, the vines enjoy an ideal microclimate to get converted into wines with typical Toscana characteristics.
Unmatched Passion and Tradition in Winemaking
The ancient villa, made with pale grey stone, was once a meditation center for the cloistered nuns. Today, it is an agriculture company, a short drive away from Siena, with powerful winemaking tactics. Here, one can witness the real passion and love towards the winemaking procedures.
Every Drop Reflects the Quality and Their Gifted Terroir
With 16 hectares of vineyards, the Trecciano Winery is the home of a broad array of grapes. It includes Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, together with unique Cabernet Franc and Syrah. The red soil where these grapes are grown is rich in minerals, thanks to the winery’s sustainable viticulture practice. Every process in the vineyards is carried out with hands. The selective bunches enter the cellar for further processing to produce top-of-the-line red, white, and dessert wines under the Chianti DOC, DOCG, and IGT labels.
The barrique cellar relishes various innovative facilities, including vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. For ageing and refining, the winery staff uses oak barrels made from Slavonian wood to give a subtle essence. The bottling process is carried out in the bottling room, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery.
