Tenuta Fanti - A Legacy of Tuscan Winemaking

Our weekend in Val d'Orcia began here, a stunning estate located in the middle of the hills and vineyards of Montalcino, it was the first time I participated in a tasting, a gift from my children for my birthday, a unique experience, a superlative location, visits to the perfect cellar, with Carolina, a very kind and competent guide, who then entrusted us to Nazario, our guide in the tastings, friendly, competent and very good. In a beautiful room, at a table in front of the window and a breathtaking view, Nazario guided us in a tasting of oils and wines, each one better than the other, to finish with their Brunello and their Vinsanto, dense and full-bodied, with Tuscan bread perfect for oil and a platter of various cold cuts and cheeses, a real delight for the eyes and above all for the palate. Everything was perfect, my first tasting was truly incredible, certainly supported by oils and wines that leave you speechless........perfect and very adequate quality-price ratio, but that's another story.......it was a birthday present for me from my children......so they thought of it...... and the choice was truly unique and fantastic.........thanks then to Livia and Seba for their unforgettable gift and thanks to Tenuta Fanti and all its perfect staff, who made my birthday stay in Val D'Orcia unforgettable!!!!!!! We went here for a tasting and a visit to the winery and it was a dream! The location is a real spectacle, the staff is very friendly and super helpful and the products, well, what can I say?! Between oil, wine and typical dishes everything was perfect. At the tasting we had a certain amount of wines (I don't remember now how many), but in the end they let us try them all without charging us a euro more. I still dream of pici and ribollita!! Obviously we stocked up on oil and wines, but we will definitely be back. I highly recommend this experience!

5 stars doesn't do this place, its beauty and hospitality justice. We did a tour of the winery and tasting of olive oil and 4 exceptional wines (plus surprise 😍) and stayed for a few more hours enjoying the wines and the scenery. Carolina was so knowledge, welcoming and took us on a beautiful journey to learn about the history of the place, the wine making process, differences in vintages and wine tasting notes. I would do it again in a heart beat. Brunello Vallocchio stole my heart. Can't recommend this place enough.

Wonderful experience, splendid location, perfect welcome, very interesting visit to the winery. Amazing lunch, as well as their wines and an experience with an incredible quality-price ratio! Excellent visit. Friendly and very knowledgeable girl. We had the opportunity to chat with Mr. Fanti. I recommend it to anyone who wants to live a non-commercial wine experience that makes them feel at home. All the staff are very passionate and willing to tell the story of this brand. Not least the wonderful location. Highly recommended.

We had a really nice time at Tenuta Fenti! We were a couple and got our own tour plus wine tasting (including olive oil). Very interesting background stories about production, manufacturing and harvesting + storage. The property is very well maintained and the place where the tasting took place was also impeccable! There is also a large terrace with a great view of the olive groves and vineyards. Really highly recommended and the price is completely reasonable! We would go back anytime :)!

One of best wine tasting in the region . The family has been making olive oil and wine for a long time. The price was really good and lunch was incredible. The staff , Nazario , Caterina , Emma and the rest of team are so good in what they do . We felt welcomed and were very impressed by everything. We bought bottles of wine too and olive oil . I will highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to go for a quality wine tasting experience .

Starting July 24th, a plate of food and 8 glasses of wine are included for 60 Euros per person. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about wine. The food and wine were great, but the view of the garden outside the restaurant was so wonderful that it remained in my memory even after time passed. It was a great experience that I couldn't have in Korea.

Wonderful experience, I recommend it to everyone. High-quality wines, producing olive oils and wines since 1800. They have a wine tasting, with cheese, followed by a pasta and dessert, simply wonderful. Among the wines in the tasting, you can try Brunello di Montalcino, a spectacular wine. If you are in the Montalcino region, a visit to the winery is a must.

We were allowed to taste some wines spontaneously. The individual wines were explained very well. We would visit the winery again and book a tour with tasting next time.

We did the tasting of 4 wines (including Brunello) + 4 olive oils for 25 EUR/person. We arrived without booking (November 2023). The wines and olive oils are very good and the winery is easy to access, on the side of the main road. It is 10 minutes from Montalcino.

Totally amazing experience at Tenuta Fanti for their Wine Tasting Lunch. First, the setting is breathtaking, overlooking the Abbey at Sant’ Antimo, olive groves, and vineyards. The winemaking facility is very impressive: large, modern, and meticulously clean. Our host Martina was fantastic: informative, enthusiastic, and pleasant, she gave us a great tour. And then the real magic happened, the food and wine. I’ve had a lot of good meals in my five trips to Italy (3 to Montalcino), but this was one of the best end to end meals I’ve had. We started with a charcuterie tray of antipasto, moved on to pinci pasta with wild boar ragu, our secondi was wild boar stew with an incredibly flavorful cabbage, and finally tiramisu. By the way, there are options all along the way. And the food was just incredibly delicious and authentic. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the sampling of 4 different types of olive oil, accompanied by their homemade bread that was delicious. Along the way, Martina kept pouring wines, from bianco to Rosato to Rosso, and we finished with 3 different Brunello. These were my favorites, and the 2015 Vigna la Macchiarrello Riserva was outstanding. This leisurely tour and lunch lasted about 3 hours, and was only 60 Euro. Truly one of the great values and experiences of our trip. Martina and her assistant service were attentive without being intrusive, it was the best service we had on our trip. As someone who loves good food and good wine and appreciates 5 star service, I can’t recommend this experience highly enough.

An oasis of peace and tranquility Followed by lunch with tasting of the estate's wines and oil Professional, prepared Emma who accompanied us from start to finish with detailed explanations on how some vintages have a special taste to create a gran riserva wine. 🍷🍷🍷 Unforgettable experience to remember and to absolutely do again. Great testing experience with a dedicated person who takes the time to explain everything to us.

We booked the tasting in less that 18 hours prior but the Fanti team replied promptly to let us know their availability. A beautiful property with long history, overlooking vines and olive groves. My husband and I were warmly received by Emma, who brought us for a tour in the cellar and was in charge of our tasting. She was very patient, friendly and caring, and went extra miles to make sure we’re happy with our time there. We requested to be far away from the noisy group right next to us and she gladly offered us a shaded, quite corner outdoors, it was perfect. My husband had the traditional tasting (5 different wines) and myself the Brunello collection (4 glasses). Both of us had access to tasting 4 olive oils made by the property. It was enjoyable and their Brunellos are rather decent. At the end, Emma offered to let us try 2 Riservas on top of our tasting, we were grateful by her gesture and passion in sharing with us. Great quality, I couldn’t help but buying a bottle of the 2012 Riserva in the end. Now enjoying it in our garden in the afternoon, perfect wine (sophisticated aroma profile, complex, well-balanced with smooth tannins) for an affordable price. Thank you for your great hospitality!

We spontaneously had a really great tasting. We were given a very warm welcome and looked after very attentively until the end. The atmosphere was really great, as was the view and the wines and olive oil were excellent. Price/performance absolutely unbeatable. We will definitely be back and can only recommend it to everyone. It's worth it 🤍

A fabulous experience! We were treated to an excellent welcome from Elena who showed us around the cellar and explained the manufacturing processes in detail. We had chosen the "Dining With Brunello Lunch" option. The very good quality lunch was served on the terrace with a magical view of the estate and the surrounding area. Each dish is accompanied by a wine and allows you to try the entire range. It was truly an exceptional experience. I would like to thank Elena once again for her welcome, her friendliness and her top-notch professionalism!
