Experience the Art of Biodynamic Wine Production in Campania
Tenuta Leonardo: Terroir-Driven Wines
Located in Galluccio, a charming commune in the high Caserta area of Campania, Italy, Tenuta Leonardo spans over 18 hectares of picturesque vineyards. The unique terroir and optimal vineyard exposure create ideal conditions for cultivating high-quality grapes. In 2016, Tenuta Leonardo proudly supplied its prestigious wines for the 20th anniversary of “Tari,” Italy's renowned goldsmith center.
A Family Legacy
The roots of Tenuta Leonardo trace back to the 1800s. Today, the winery is owned by Pasquale Calce, whose father, Leonardo Calce, initiated the family business in the early 1900s with grape, chestnut, and olive cultivation. Following Leonardo's passing, Pasquale took the reins, dedicating himself to the estate's management. Currently, Gianfranco Calce and Antonio Marandola oversee crop management, while Giacomo Mignacca serves as the commercial director, ensuring excellence at every stage of wine production.
Blending Tradition with Innovation
Pasquale Calce has skillfully merged traditional cultivation methods with modern techniques to enhance grape quality. He introduced the Filari arrangement and planted new Aglianico and Falanghina vines. Aging occurs in a well-organized cellar featuring wooden barrels and barriques. Tenuta Leonardo stands out as a leading producer of exquisite red and white wines in the region. For nature enthusiasts and wine lovers, visiting Tenuta Leonardo offers a chance to savor exceptional wines amidst stunning vineyards and the serene countryside.
