Tenuta Montiani, in the Heart of Chianti
Tenuta Montiani is a family-run farm located in the Chianti Region of central Tuscany. It is the culmination of the dreams of the owners, whose desire to come back to the place of their upbringing and work led to the inception of this winery. The farm extends in an area of about 25 hectares, of which 4.5 hectares are vineyards, 2 hectares are olive groves, 2 hectares are for fruits, vegetables, and medicinal plants and the remaining lands are used for grazing barnyard animals. The primary production of Tenuta Montiani is exceptional wines, but they also sell olive oil, honey, and medicinal plants produced on their property.
The Winery Provides Two Natural Wine Labels
The vineyards, some of which have been around since the 1970s owned by Tenuta Montiani, are used to cultivate Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Mammolo and Merlot grapes. They have been following organic agriculture practices for overall sustainability since 2005 and are certified by ICEA. The organic and natural methods are not just limited in the fields but also in the overall winemaking process and everyone at Tenuta Montiani is well pleased about their two natural wine lines, ‘Felix’ and ‘Terra Greta’.
