The Lunelli Family Legacy

The Lunelli family has made a name for themselves in the wine industry, particularly with their renowned Ferrari Trentodoc. Their winemaking journey began in the 1980s with the production of still wines in Trentino. Today, they own three wineries across Italy: Tenuta Margon in Trentino, Tenuta Podernovo in Tuscany, and Tenuta Castelbuono in Umbria. The family’s commitment to quality and beauty is evident in their acquisition of forty hectares in Terricciola, where Tenuta Podernovo was established, blending agriculture with a passion for winemaking.

About Tenuta Podernovo

Situated near the picturesque Tuscan Coast in the emerging Colline Pisane wine region, Tenuta Podernovo spans an entire hill. The vineyard benefits from a unique microclimate, with sandy soil rich in fossil deposits, ideal for grape cultivation. In this region, wine is more than just a beverage; it represents a cultural and historical legacy that dates back to the Etruscans. The winery itself is constructed from local stones, harmonizing beautifully with the surrounding landscape. The wines, aged for 20 months in large oak casks, showcase the elegance of Sangiovese and Aliotto, characterized by balanced fruit, refined tannins, and a lingering finish.

Historic Accommodations

Adjacent to the winery, a stunning late 18th-century complex has been meticulously restored to reflect traditional Tuscan architecture. This charming property now offers exclusive apartments, providing guests with a unique opportunity to experience the rich history and beauty of the region.

Far exceeded our expectations! Very clean accommodations. Excellent breakfast. The grounds were gorgeous and the staff were all very friendly. Leonardo was very attentive and has a vast knowledge of all the wines and the process in which they are made.

Beautiful location for events with a large green area for parties, large parking lot Beautiful cellar with aging barrels Excellent Tuscan wines. The only flaw (one star less) is that since there is also an area with Agriturismo at midnight you have to lower your voice and turn off the music. Too bad it's like Cinderella at midnight everything ends. For the rest well done

Great facility in beautiful surroundings. The location is perfect for visiting the classic destinations in Tuscany such as Pisa, Florence or Siena. The staff are always in a good mood, are really friendly and extremely helpful. We had a great holiday and are happy to have spent it there.
