Tenuta Poggio Rosso is a small farm near the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea near the Gulf of Baratti and the ancient Etruscan town of Populonia. The proximity of the sea with its breezes and solar radiation of high intensity combined with the texture of the soil, creating a web of microclimatic factors and "terroir" particularly suitable for the production of wines with unique and unrepeatable. The wines take their name from the divinity of the "Etruscan Pantheon" or by people who lived during the Etruscan period in the territories of Populonia) and also our brand is taken from a stamp of a Master potter pottery produced in the city of Populonia. The production is about 38.000 bottles

Using the Essentials

We work without chemical products but only use antagonist insects that parasitizes other dangerous insects and with green manure. Sulfites are under the minimum required for the biodynamic estate. The winemaker is Valerio Falchi. In 2023 we’ll exit with our Organic label.

We did a tasting with a tour of the vineyard and the winery. Signora Franscesca gave us the tour in impeccable French👍. Her goal is excellence and quality. We tasted amazing wines, a fragrant and fruity olive oil with a tagliere di prodoti Toscani. A discovery and a great encounter that I highly recommend.

It is a very nice winery with a very picturesque landscape. Not to be missed in Tuscany. Attended by its sales manager "Francesca" who is excellent at receiving groups and giving tours. We did a wine tasting and she received us excellently. !!! Highly recommended visit!!! And be sure to try all their award-winning wines. !!

We spent a weekend glamping. The place is quiet and cozy, peaceful, surrounded by nature, perfect for those looking for a little relaxation. Close to the beaches of San Vincenzo and Baratti, and the town of Piombino (just a 15-minute drive away), the shop is cozy and equipped with all amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the wine tasting at the estate is highly recommended. The owner speaks passionately about her business, sparking the curiosity of those who listen. She also offers wine tastings and delicious products.

Perfect 7 day stay during high season. Staff exceptional. Space around the tents is massive. Trees and hedges are park level quality. Bike/walking path directly from gate to barrati beach. Short walk for groceries. Super dog friendly.
